Practical learning of the Russian language - the language of tourism (B1) 3222-PRT4C[B1]-OG
The aim of the course is to introduce you to the topics of the broadly understood tourism industry. The student becomes acquainted with the basic issues of the tourism industry, such as types of tourism, the functioning of a tourist company, organization of trips, useful practical advice for tourists and documentation. The student learns the terminology and style of the Russian language of tourism, acquires knowledge that allows for efficient communication, i.e. creating and understanding statements in situations typical for the tourism industry.
Student workload:
Contact hours (in the room) - 30 hours - 1 ECTS
preparation for classes - 15 hours - 0.5 ECTS
Preparation for final work - 15 hours. - 0.5 ECTS
Total: 60 hours - 2 ECTS
If it is not possible to conduct classes in the form of stationary classes, classes will be conducted using distance communication tools, most likely ZOOM, CLASSROOM and others recommended by the University of Warsaw.

Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student:
- knows and understands the Russian language in speech and writing in accordance with the requirements specified for level B1 of the European System for the Description of Languages Education (K1_W12);
- is able to communicate in speech and writing in Russian in accordance with the requirements specified for level B1 of the European Description System (K1_U14);
- is able to independently plan and implement their own learning throughout life (K1_U11);
- plan and organize work individually and in a team (K1_U12).
- is ready to critical assessment of knowledge and content received
(K1_K01).
Assessment criteria
Conditions for admission to the final (written) credit:
- attendance;
- control of the current preparation;
- passing control tests and translation tests;
- credit for group and individual projects.
Assessment criteria are presented in the form of percentage thresholds (points obtained from passing)
99% -100% - 5! (Very good rating with an exclamation mark)
93% - 98% - 5 (very good)
87% - 92% - 4+ (good plus)
77% - 86% - 4 (good)
70% - 76% - 3+ (satisfactory plus)
60% - 69% - 3 (satisfactory)
The final grade consists of: the average grade for mid-term papers (30%) and a written final paper (70%).
The student has the right to 2 unexcused absences, each subsequent one requires justification. The student's attendance at classes is confirmed by a signature on the list.
The student has the right to obtain a credit in the resit session in the same form as in the basic session and on the condition of obtaining a credit for the subject.
Exceeding excused and unjustified absences for 50% of classes may be the basis for failing the course.
