History of the Russian culture 3222-HKR2K-OG
Acquainting students with selected periods in the history of Russian culture and trends in art (literature and folk art, romanticism, realism, modernism), familiarization with the works of representatives of individual epochs.
Analysis of works of literature, painting, architecture, music, theater, cinema.
Discussion of important aspects of Russian culture, its sources and specificity.
Presentation of Russian culture as behaviors, attitudes and customs that shape the internal life and identity of contemporary Russian society.
Student workload:
contact hours (in the room) - 30 hours 1 ECTS
preparation for classes - 15 hours 0.5 ECTS
preparation for the credit - 15 hours 0.5 ECTS
Total: 60 hours - 2 ECTS
If it is not possible to conduct classroom classes, classes will be held using the ZOOM and Classroom distance communication tools and other tools recommended by the University of Warsaw.

Assessment criteria
Requirements for getting a credit:
- being prepared for classes
- giving an individual/group presentation
-final credit in writing
Criteria for assessing credit (percentage thresholds):
99-100% - 5!
93-98% - 5
87-92% - 4+
77-86% - 4
70-76% - 3+
60-69% - 3
The final grade consists of: the assessment of the work during the semester (30%) and the assessment of the written final credit (70% ).
If the credit will be taken remotely, it is possible to change the form to oral.
The student has the right to obtain the credit for the class and retake the exam during the resits on the same terms as in the first attempt.
The student has the right to 2 unexcused absences, and each subsequent one requires an explanation to be given. The teacher decides how the student will make up for any other unjustified absences.
