Economic anthropology 3104-M2HG-MPAW-OG
The course covers elements of anthropological theory and its application to analysis of various types of ethnographic and historical sources. Theoretical issues take into account different schools and perspectives. Economic anthropology deals with economic social institutions and economic behavior although it often overlap with other branches of cultural and social anthropology (ecology, technique, kinship, religion).

Learning outcomes
Awareness of the most important schools in economic anthropology and discussions between them,
awareness of the types of subsistence economies, as well as issues related to production, accumulation and exchange
Learning and understanding of the basic methods of analysis and interpretation of socio-economic processes
Assessment criteria
Grades depend on activity during classes. Presentation of at least one precise based on articles is compulsory.
