1. Correlations – why the Pearson's correlation is not always appropriate? Other measures of correlation available in statistical tools.
2. Structure analysis - is the spreadsheet sufficient? Other possibilities. Data correctness. Outliers.
3. Time series analysis - is it complicated? Simple methods of time series analysis. Forecasting.
4. Testing problems - does the difference matter? Hypothesis testing and p-value

After the course the student:
- knows various measures of correlation and interprets the results;
- is able to test the hypotheses;
- is aware of the variety of statistical tools to facilitate data analysis;
- can detect regularities in the time series.
