Learning outcomes
Students successfully completing this course will:
Knowledge:
• Knowledge of diagnostic criteria for autism spectrum disorder.
• Knowledge of the recommendations regarding the diagnostic process towards the autism spectrum disorder.
• Knowledge of the ADOS-2 structure and psychometric properties of the Polish adaptation of ADOS-2.
• Knowledge of the possibilities of using the ADOS-2 and its limitations.
Skills:
• Ability to perform the assessment using ADOS-2.
• Ability to code the participant's behavior using ADOS-2.
• Ability to interpret ADOS-2 results.
Competences:
• Ability to participate in a group discussion and justify the choice made.
• Ability to present the results of one’s work in writing and justify diagnostic decisions.
• Preserving criticism of the results obtained using ADOS-2, understanding the need to include information from many sources in the diagnostic process of person with suspectedASD.
