Statistical Methods in Psychometrics 2500-EN_F_92
The aim of this course is to familiarize students with statistical analyses
used in developing and testing quality of psychometric methods (e.g.,
self-reports). The course will take place in computer lab and will be
practice oriented (SPSS, AMOS), with theory kept to minimum to allow
understanding what and why is being done. The methods learned during
the course are helpful in any research or diagnostic practice involving
psychological tests; they are useful when conducting empirical supervised
research, master or phd thesis with a use of psychological tests. They are
also useful in future professional work, e.g. in human resources or as a
diagnostician (e.g., in clinics or at school). The course covers statistical
methods allowing to assess tests’ reliability, validity, items, or build
norms.
