Learning outcomes
Knowledge
A student’s knowledge includes: knowing and understanding the essence of the process approach to the management of organizations; awareness of the key process-based management concepts; the ability to explain the validity of their application along with their strengths and weak points; being acquainted with methodologies and strategies of performing practical projects involving organizational changes intended to design and enhance business processes.
Skills
The skills to be acquired by a student embrace being able to: define the value chain of an organization; identify the key and auxiliary business processes as well as their objectives and indicators; handle specific case study tasks and come up with solutions based on the previously acquired characteristics and principles of process design; use the systems of ARIS and ADONIS with a view to modelling and analysing the length of performance of the processes as well as their standard and the costs involved; use the ARIS and ADONIS software; collect information concerning the progress of the processes and advance proposals as to the order in which they should be performed, taking due account of the need for the arrangement to be logical and properly timed; come up with ideas regarding the avenues to enhance the progress of the processes and provide reasons evidencing their efficacy.
Social competences
Social competence to be arrived at by a student includes the abilities to: cooperate and work in a group while performing case study analyses and practical projects; adequately determine the priorities involved in case study and project pursuit; extend and refine the previously acquired knowledge and skills.
