MK-Education and child care problems - laboratory 2300-NZ1-MK-PMD-Pr
Classes will be held partly at the University. There will by olso a workshop in preschool (in various age groups). Topics discussed on the classes prepare students to realize the tasks in the institution include conducting independent observations in the specyfic subject areas. The end result will be the students' work portfolio - summarizing knowledge from key thematic areas including deepened analysis of one of them, freely chosen by the student.
Learning outcomes
Student knows:
-what tasks are realized in preschool and what are the basic documents governing its work,
- what is the hidden program in the educational institution
- the different strategies of disciplining children in preschool
- factors affecting the assessing of the child
-how the teacher communicates with the children and what influences this process
- the mechanisms of the development of independent in children
-methods to resolve conflicts between children
-student is able to: interpret the educational situation on the basis of on observations 2.explain the influence of the organization of classroom space on the teacher’s and the children' behaviours 3.use specific tools to diagnose the situation of education.
Assessment criteria
Criteria: 50% class participation, 50% of the preparation of a term paper in a portfolio summarizing the results of observation of the student, containing reflections and thoughts on the processes and phenomena observed in the thematic areas
