Element of intellectual rights protection for educators 2300-N1-EOWI
The course includes the basic issues concerning intellectual property rights within the range of interest of Education Faculty students:
- the general notions of intellectual property rights;
- legal acts on intellectual property and differences between protection deriving from Copyrights Act and Industrial Property Act;
- the range of protection of author under Polish law (who is protect by the Copyright Act, moral and economic rights of author, the rights of co-authors);
- the problem of licensing, transfer of rights;
- the permissible use of protected work;
- scope of use of copyrights (in particular by schools, higher education units, libraries and for needs of the disabled)
- the rules of use of copyrights by students and lectures;
- plagiarism problem.
