Legal Traditions & Globalisation 2200-PRSIH04
Private law, as a law provided for individual actors, goes beyond state borders. The phenomenon of globalisation in world’s economy, communication and technologies, mass mobility of peoples and increasing interdependencies, leads to internationalisation of issues, which have seemed to belong merely to national or local sphere of interest.
The courses included in this group offer insights into the basic concepts of western legal tradition (Key Concepts of the European Tradition of Private Law), the spreading of law in time, i.e. historical evolution of legal traditions in Europe (European Legal Tradition), the spatial dimension of legal traditions (Mixed Jurisdictions Worldwide) as well as comparative contribution to the dogmatics of the Tort law.
