Lecture. Regional geology of the Quaternary, composed of 2 parts: methodical approach and palaeogeographic evolution. Presented are principles of palaeogeographic reconstruction, methodical foundations, glacial extents and translocation of climatic zones, evolution of river valleys and discharge in different climatic zones, floristic and faunistic evolution, cyclic variation of sea level, deep-sea cores, pluvial and glacial lakes, Aeolian phenomena, weathering climatic zones, neotectonics, dating of palaeogeographic reconstructions, palaeoclimated changes. Palaeogeographic evolution of Central Europe, Baltic Sea and mountain glaciations.
