The workshop accompanies lecture “Research Ethics - lecture” which is required for doctoral students of all Doctoral Schools.
Contents: data ownership and control; data creep; data anonimisation, pseudonimisation and privacy protection; data sharing and data co-controllership; secondary use of data; the social consequences of data use in research; prevention of dual use and misuse of research results; data commodification and commercialization; algorithmic bias and discrimination, explainable AI.
Intended audience: doctoral students involved in research in information science, cognitive science, and psychological and social aspects of the use of information technologies.

Assessment criteria
in order to participate in the workshop attendance at “Research Ethics - lecture” lecture is required; attendance is required.
credits are given on the basis of the final test covering the contents of “Research Ethics – lecture” and the reading materials; only those doctoral students who attended two workshops (2 hours each) will be allowed to attend the test and earn credits for the lecture (and the subject); the retake test is analogous to the final test
