Learning outcomes

1. Learning outcomes:

A graduate of second cycle degree studies in the field of Oriental Studies- Culture ofAncient Near East Studies:

- has extended knowledge of particular problems pertaining to the cultures of the Orient or Africa (within the scope of culture and literature or language or philosophy and religion or history and socio-political issues) in a comparative perspective
- has extended knowledge of particular problems pertaining to the culture of a chosen region in the Orient or Africa (within the scope of culture and literature or language or philosophy and religion or history and socio-political issues)
- has extended and deepened knowledge of the language(s) of chosen regions in the Orient or Africa
- has detailed knowledge pertaining to the state of research on chosen issues related to the countries of the Orient or Africa as well as in-depth knowledge of research centres in Poland and all over the world
- knows and understands advanced analysis and interpretation methods of various products of culture in the countries of the Orient or Africa, characteristic of chosen traditions, theories, research schools within the scope of linguistics or literary and cultural studies or philosophy and religion studies or history
- knows and understands the local academic tradition (methods of analysis, interpretation and evaluation) in the context of chosen countries of the Orient or Africa
- demonstrates good grasp of contemporary cultural life of a chosen region in the Orient or Africa
- has genuine knowledge of rules of communication, writing, reading in a chosen language of the Orient or Africa (contemporary and/or classical/dead language)
- has wide and profound knowledge of the structures and social relations as well as socio-cultural behaviours of a chosen region in the Orient or Africa in the scope conditioning professional social and intercultural verbal communication
- knows and understands the rules of copyright and intellectual property management
