Unikatowe (wyróżniające) cechy oraz cele programu
Studia II stopnia artes liberales to międzydziedzinowy program kształcenia adresowany do absolwentów interdyscyplinarnych i tradycyjnych kierunków studiów. Pozwala na zdobycie wszechstronnej wiedzy z zakresu nauk humanistycznych, społecznych i przyrodniczych w ramach jednej z czterech ścieżek kształcenia. Studenci komponują plan studiów w dużej części samodzielnie – ponad 2/3 programu stanowią zajęcia do wyboru.

Cultural and Intellectual History Between East and West (Między Wschodem a Zachodem - historia kultury i myśli) jest jedną z czterech ścieżek kształcenia realizowanych w ramach studiów II stopnia na kierunku artes liberales

Problematyka zajęć ścieżki obejmuje między innymi:

  • historia kultury

Absolwent artes liberales ma interdyscyplinarną wiedzę z zakresu nauk humanistycznych, społecznych i przyrodniczych, pozwalającą mu swobodnie opisywać, analizować i rozumieć zjawiska z pogranicza tych nauk. Rozumie zależności między dyscyplinami w obrębie nauk humanistycznych, społecznych i przyrodniczych i potrafi zastosować tę wiedzę do analizy dzieł artystycznych, tekstów kultury i zjawisk społecznych.
