first cycle programme full-time, 3-year studies Language: Polish | Jump to: Opis ogólnyStudia artes liberales to kierunek przywracający wielowiekowe myślenie o uniwersytecie jako miejscu, w którym studiujący otrzymuje wszechstronne wykształcenie. Odwołują się do starożytnego i średniowiecznego pojęcia sztuk wyzwolonych mówiącego o jedności nauk w poszukiwaniu prawdy i piękna. Obecny we współczesnej nauce podział na dyscypliny wiedzy ma obecnie z jednej strony charakter umowny, z drugiej powoduje zamykanie się jednych dyscyplin na inne. Przeświadczenie o jedności sztuk leżało u podstaw antycznej myśli o formowaniu nowych pokoleń, a potem stało się częścią idei uniwersytetu. Student artes liberales nie znajdzie jednak w programie studiów dokładnie tych przedmiotów, które niegdyś tworzyły zrąb sztuk wyzwolonych, takich jak astronomia, retoryka czy geometria. Otrzyma edukację dostosowaną do czasów współczesnych – według modelu wypracowanego głównie w amerykańskich college'ach liberal arts. Naczelną regułą przyświecającą takiemu nauczaniu jest stałe i świadome przekraczanie granic dyscyplin oraz oferowanie zajęć, których tematyka łączy nauki humanistyczne, społeczne i przyrodnicze. Znakomitą większość programu studiów artes liberales student układa samodzielnie, uzyskując możliwość swobodnego kształtowania własnej edukacji. Może przy tym wybierać z bogatej oferty przedmiotów nauczanych przez kadrę nie tylko Wydziału „Artes Liberales”, ale innych jednostek Uniwersytetu oraz gości z kraju i zagranicy zaproszonych na Wydział spoza uczelni. Wiele przedmiotów ma charakter eksperymentalny: prowadzonych jest przez tandemy lub grupy wykładowców, a przez aktywną formę odbiega od tradycyjnych wykładów uniwersyteckich. Wiele kursów kładzie nacisk na pracę zespołową i na rozwijanie kompetencji „miękkich”: umiejętności poprawnego, ale jednocześnie atrakcyjnego pisania tekstów naukowych, skutecznego prezentowania myśli w sytuacjach publicznych, wyważonego użycia nowych mediów, zdolności przywódczych i komunikacyjnych. Program studiów I stopnia odpowiada na podstawowe problemy współczesnej rzeczywistości polskiej, europejskiej i światowej, które nazwaliśmy wyzwaniami kierunkowymi. Każde z nich łączy pod względem tematycznym różnorodne zajęcia, które są prowadzone przez specjalistów z wielu dziedzin i dyscyplin naukowych. Więcej informacji na stronie www.al.uw.edu.pl |
