European Union Regional Policy 4208-M4PRUEc
The following workshop is designed as a practical exercise of planning and execution of the EU regional projects.
The main objectives of the workshops are as follows:
To teach participants planning, structuring and analysis techniques that follows modern standards of structural funds, and public sector in general.
To teach students team working and project management
To teach the participants effective usage of European and Polish sources of information on Structural Funds as well as improve their critical selection and synthesis skills
Workshop bases on "learning by doing" approach to teaching. Each meeting will consists of short introductory speeches. They will cover such issues as: review of modern management tools and techniques in public sector, logic of EU interventions (problems, objectives, activities, outcomes, indicators), tools of project management for EU interventions (Project Cycle Management, problem-objective trees, logframe matrix, etc).
The core of workshops will be students work on case studies. Work will be organized in groups with the use of modern, latest software. After each workshop students will receive feedback from the lecturer.
The final exam consists of real case study (to be solved by team of students).

Learning outcomes
After accomplishing the workshop student:
- is able to structure problems and key research questions
- choose and apply the basic tools of programme analysis
- understands evaluation procedures
- is able to use logic model sfor public interventions
- is able to organize work in its team and plan the research
- is able to discuss the assessments, give the feedback to its co-workers, present results of the team work
Assessment criteria
Students will be marked on their: effects of final team work (50%), individual test’s results (30%) and active participation during the workshop (20%),
