Sociology of Organizations, Economy and Politics 4208-M2SOGP
Historical analysis of emerging democratic and market institutions shows the European way to democratic capitalist state. Process of changes contains: separation moral and politic power, evolution of property rights, growth of cooperation significance and new ideas projecting the state based on self organization of free citizens. Peculiarities of European organizational culture are showed in comparison with Asian cultural circles. Additionally knowledge on European mentality will be presented and intellectual basis facilitating collective cooperation will be characterized.
Emerging of market institution will be showed as the effect of cultural changes that is implementation of protestant ethic. The second change in Europe has economic features and depends on emerging of economic dualism. On the West capitalism and enterprise, east of Europe manorial farm. On the East Europe has been established peculiar patterns and values - organizational culture relevant to work in manorial farms. Analysis of economic institutions and organizational culture in Poland to 1939 and during communism shows in what ways transfer of manorial farm culture to present days was fulfilled.
Contemporary polish organizational culture and work organization contains three tendencies:
legacy of manor farm, catholic culture and cultural import from the West. These tendencies are showed on the case of motivation of employees and styles of management.
Sociological analysis of economic processes shows that device connected income inequality with productivity operate in protestant and catholic countries differently. Next problem concern Position of Poland in globalization and knowledge based economy. Global tendency of development will be presented in context of centre – periphery theory and global tendencies of development knowledge based economy as well.
