Theories of Spatial Economy and Spatial Planning 4208-M1TGPc
The aim of the class is to present implementation of theories of spatial economy and spatial planning in practice. The class consists of the following fields devoted to basic methods and tools for analysis of socio-economic spatial data, to application of theories for preparation and implementation of strategic documents at local and regional level as well as instruments of regional policy and to rules of Master Plans developing.

In terms of knowledge:
(1) Describes the basic theories of development of cities and regions. (2) Characterises the contemporary conditions and concepts of regional development. (3) Explains the interdisciplinary character of the research and the theoretical concepts in the field of spatial development. (4) Defines the basic concepts of spatial development and regional development (K_W01).
In terms of abilities and skills:
(1) Critically analyses and interprets information, including those presented in form of maps and charts. (2) Can synthetically present an analysis of the problem and the recommendations of the solutions on the issues of the regional development (K_U08).
In terms of social skills:
(1) Takes on the various roles during group work on regional development and spatial development (K_K02).
Assessment criteria
The assessment criteria include: a) test of knowledge b) home works s (individual and group) c) activity during workshop.
