Badminton (distance) 4023-O-BADM-ZD
During the classes there will be:
- teaching the main racket grips
- teaching backhand and forehand shots, including short serves, flick serve, drive shots, defensive shots (block)
- teaching the footwork, including the split step
- overview of the settings and tactics in double and mixed games
- overview of the game systems in badminton
- developing motor abilities
- improving the level of physical fitness
- competing based on acquired skills

Learning outcomes
Students:
- will acquire the general knowledge of the human body and its functioning;
- will be able to exercise safely;
- will learn how to work in a team;
- will understand the need to stay fit in order to remain healthy;
- will be able to use sports equipment correctly;
- will develop special motor skills under the guidance of the Physical Education and Sports Centre’s staff.
Assessment criteria
In order to obtain a course credit students are required to participate in classes regularly and actively.
