Seminar for third year 4018-SEM4
The seminar will include three separate topic cycles:
- theoretical introduction (up to 3 classes) - the correct form of a graduation thesis: its structure, language, technical issues (e.g. compiling a bibliography and correct placement of footnotes). Another major issue will be indicating a graduation thesis’ scientific character, and its place in the system of recorded knowledge (i.e. among other scientific works)
- joint searches for and detailed definition of the topics of individual theses - independent searches as well as brainstorming in class (approx. 15-20 classes)
- presentation of completed sections of the theses by individual students, followed by a group discussion
