External policy of the European Union 4003-204PZ
The introductory part of the lecture presents the main determinants of international dimension of the European integration. Then there is a presentation of a definition of the EU's external policy, which includes two general components: external economic relations and foreign/security policy, as well as its various international potential, models, instruments and international roles. In the last part of the module there is an analyse of perspectives for further strengthening of the EU's external policy, as well as its position and role in the contemporary world.

Learning outcomes
At the completion of the course, the student will be able to:
- present decision making processes relating to the EU external policy,
- show differences in decision making in military and civilian missions,
- discuss EU law relating to the EU external policy,
- present the development of the EC/EU external policy,
- discuss the tasks of institutions taking part in Eu external policy,
- present the major directions of the Eu external relations,
- discuss the involvement of the EU outside its borders.
Assessment criteria
Written examination.
Practical placement
