Having completed the programme, students are expected:
in the field of KNOWLEDGE to know:
- origins of European integration in the field of foreign and defence policy
- basic elements of the EU's external policy
- main stages and mechanisms of foreign/security policies of the European Communities/European Union (CFSP, ESDP)
- basic factors determining future developments of the European integration in the field of foreign and defence policy
in the field of SKILLS to be able to:
- explain the essence of European integration in the field of foreign and defence policy
- identify the main elements, institutions and mechanisms of CFSP and ESDP
- analyze the evolution of European integration in the field of foreign and defence policy
- analyze publications and media information on the EU's external policy
in the field of SOCIAL COMPETENCIES to manage to:
- assess the origins and evolution of European integration in the field of foreign and defence policy
- critically evaluate works concerning the EU's foreign/security policy
- make research on history and present day of European integration in the field of foreign and defence policy.
