Political relations and systems 3620-M-SSP
Notion and scope of political relations in the studied area. Specificity of local political and economic systems and links. Ideological conflicts. Process of gaining independence by the post-soviet states, foreign policy of the new countries in the region. Issues related to the enlargement of NATO and of the EU. Political systems, evolution of authoritarian regimes. New system of international relations in the studied area.

Learning effects – skills and competences: the student should understand the mechanisms of local political relations and the influence they have on the current policy of the countries in the studied area, and also be able to identify the specific systemic links.
