Sociology of organizations and local communities 3401-RL22SOW
Prerquisites: Students are conversant with main sociological theories and theoretical perspectives.
Lectures concentrates on sociological theories of local community and organization. There are introduced: ecological, structural and functional, interactional, socio-psychological perspectives. There are discussed mechanisms of functioning of democracy and civil society, main theories and methods of organization managing, fordism and postfordism as stages of development of capitalist society. There are discussed classical and contemporary research of organization and local community. There are treated political and economic determinants of fordism, postfordism and methods of organization management, and dominant contemporary ideologies of social community.

The aim of subject: introducing students in sociological theories of local community and organization: ecological, structural and functional, interactional, socio-psychological perspectives; in mechanisms of functioning of democracy and civil society; in classical and contemporary research of organization and local community. There are treated political and economic determinants of fordism, postfordism and methods of organization management, and dominant contemporary ideologies of social community.
Assessment criteria
Participation at courses, passing the examination.
