Bases of translation and text reading 3304-2D1O-TRPP-060
Participants present articles on translation techniques in the form of short papers. Students prepare a translation of short fragments of various texts, which is discussed together. Fragments of translations are also analyzed, highlighting the grammatical, semantic-pragmatic and cultural phenomena they contain. Translation evaluation criteria are discussed. A term paper is obligatory - an independent translation into Polish of a short text (e.g. popular science, journalistic) and the assessment of a similar translation by another student.
