Analysis of literary texts 3304-2ATL-1C
Aim: studying fragments of literary texts (XVI-XX centuries), to be conscient of their internal structure. Follow exercises in explanation and interpretation, including: how the given work is organized, which are its crucial parts, its horizontal and vertical structure. A detailed analysis of a literary text will be done, not only a lexical one. During every course, studying one fragment will enable the students to see its various aspects: figures of style, clichés, literary tradition etc. The analysis of literary texts also prepares students to interpret a work or to compose a historical-literary synthesis.
Credit: activity, preparing an oral explication of a given extract for every class, two written explications in class (in half-term and in the end of the term).
