The journey in the eighteenth century has a rich literature, it becomes a source, means and destination of enlightenment. Likewise, certain types of threats related to
a journey: robber attacks or sea storms, serving as turning points or culminations in authentic or fictional accounts
from the 17th century.

moreover, a similar demarcation is not always justified?
Most often, examples of an authentic and fictional story will come from the works of one author: they will be enriched with
encyclopedic definitions and journalistic polemics. Intellectual, moral, and aesthetic challenges, temptations, and threats that have a basis
in the text, they will sometimes be confronted with the accompanying graphic message. At the end, recreating a new concept of self,
awareness built on constant confrontation with reality, suspected by definition to be unstable or hostile. Is on this

K_W04 has systematic knowledge of the basic processes taking place in the areas of literature and culture
K_W05 has elementary knowledge of the methodology of research on literature and culture

In the course of reading, the student should:
1 demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the issues related to the topic of the seminar
2 master the ability to analyze source materials
3 demonstrate the ability to present detailed issues and animate discussion in a seminar group
4 confront different interpretations orally and in writing
5 present a selected issue from the scope of the seminar program in a synthetic form
Assessment criteria
Pass conditions: active presence (knowledge of text fragments selected by the lecturer as a starting point for discussion), exposé 10-15 min. on a topic selected from the program. Written work in the class (mid-term) and final test (20 min) admit to oral test (reading list and topics given in the middle of the semester).
More than three unexcused absences, it causes removal from the list.
The form and criteria for passing the course may change depending on the current epidemic threat situation. Equivalent credit conditions will be determined in accordance with the guidelines in force at the University of Warsaw, in consultation with participants of the classes.
Detailed conditions for passing the course will be presented by the teacher during the first class or will be sent by the University Study Oriented System
