Psycholinguistic foundations of language teaching 3221-S2-1PP12W
The lecture aim is to provide students the knowledge of language acquisition; presentation of the theory of linguistic communication, showing the psychological foundations of language actions (age, abilities and social context of language acquisition).

Learning outcomes
After completing the course, student:
1. KNOWLEDGE:
- knows on advanced level the subject and methodology characteristics and the advanced terminology used in literary and language studies.
- knows the main literary and language studies theories and philological researching methods
- understands the characteristics of Belarusian language or literature related to other languages or cultures
2. SKILLS:
- can prepare individual literary or linguistic comparison analyses using appropriate methods and research tools
- can recognise advanced language structures and evaluate their correctness
- can evaluate the meaning of particular language occurrences in the synchronicity and historical context
- can evaluate the meaning of particular language occurrences in the context of modern international, economical, political and social situation of Belarus and its borderlands
- can use the advanced linguistic terms during the process of language occurrences analysis
3. SOCIAL COMPETENCES:
Assessment criteria
Passing classes on the basis of a written test containing open and closed questions.
