Social History of Poland 3102-LHSP
The course will be a presentation of the main stages in the transformation of the Polish society from being a small tribal group to the present day. We will figure out the factors that stimulate and impede social changes, the mechanisms of the formation of new social structures and mutual relations between different social groups. Parallel to the historical material the course presents the methodology of social history and the methods of analyzing source, which help to reconstruct the past and to analyze the present-day society.
