History and culture of Babylonia in 1st millennium B.C. 3101-DW0016
The series of lectures covers the history of Babylonia from the fall of the 
Kassite Dynasty around the end of the 2nd Millenium B.C. (1185 B.C.) until 
Alexander the Great`s conquest of Babylon in 331 B.C. Besides the history of 
the period the lectures will also present some of the major Babylonian 
archaeological sites. Particular attention will be paid to the 
Neo-Babylonian Empire (Chaldean Dynasty) and the age of architectural 
activity that made Babylon renowned as one of the wonder of the ancient 
world.
