Students themselves choose the form of internship and the institution where they will take it, after consulting this issue with the internship supervisor. Internships should be related to the student's field of study, as they are intended to broaden the student's professional competence and increase his chances in the labor market.
Forms of internships:
1. organized internship - the student uses the internship offer prepared by the University resulting from long-term contracts and available at the Office of Professional Promotion of Graduates;
2. individual practice - the student initiates the signing of an agreement with the company/institution,
and the Chair exercises substantive and organizational supervision over the course of the internship;
3. employment on the basis of an employment contract or civil law contracts for a period of at least one month in a company/institution in a position consistent with the profile of the field of study and the professional specialization pursued;
4. conducting one's own business in accordance with the field of study;
5. within the framework of activities organized by the University for the benefit of the University and outside the University, allowing to achieve the objectives of the internship in accordance with the profile of the field of study and the educational results defined for the internship, among others:
-iImplementation of projects within the activities of scientific circles,
- participation in the implementation of scientific and research work,
- participation in projects commissioned to the University, such as implementation, participation in actions - promoting the University,
- organization of cultural and economic life of the University, organization of scientific and sports life of the University.
6. as part of the practice in the institutions of the European Union.

Learning outcomes
Learning outcomes defined for internships:
- Expanding the knowledge gained during studies and developing the ability to use it,
- acquainting the student with the specifics of the professional environment,
- formation of professional skills directly related to the place of practice,
- forming skills of effective communication in the organization,
- learning about the functioning of the organizational structure, principles of work organization and division of competencies, procedures, the process of work planning, control, occupational health and safety,
- improving skills of organizing own work, teamwork, effective time management, conscientiousness, responsibility for assigned tasks,
- improving skills in the use of Lithuanian or Latvian language.
Assessment criteria
Before starting the internship, the student should:
- agree on the internship program and conditions with the supervisor at the Company/Institution;
- obtain approval of the internship program and dates;
- provide the Company/Institution with an internship agreement issued by the University.
Credit for the internship is given by the internship coordinator on the basis of the relevant documents, i.e. the agreement on the organization of the internship between the University and the company where the internship took place or an application for credit for the internship on the basis of employment, business and a certificate of internship.
