Latin Paleography 3006-PL3

The courses is taught concurrently. One path is devoted to reviewing history of Latin writings from the classical period to the early modern age. The material illustrating this rewiev consists mainly of various texts, mainly literary ones but also documents, letters and inscriptions. The second path is dedicated to researching writings of the late medieval period (codices, diplomatic documents and epigraphs) as these which most likely to be encountered by students in the Polish environment. The credit is acknowledged on the basis of a term paper consisting in preparing a copy and editing a short manuscript.
