The series of lectures aim at presenting the history of Czech and Slovakian territories from their historical beginnings to their contemporary context. The teaching material provides and indispensable basis for further development of students’ knowledge on Czech and Slovak culture.

Learning outcomes
Having completed the course, students should be able to describe the most important events in Czech and Slovakian history along with their meaning in the context of local culture.
Assessment criteria
A final test validating the term will be held after the first and the second semester. Credit for both tests gives students admission to the final oral test covering the entirety of course curriculum.
