Learning outcomes
Student after completing the seminar:
In terms of knowledge:
- knows and understands the terminology and basic theoretical approaches to the subject: international financial institutions (K_W01)
- knows and understands in-depth the principles, procedures, practices and objectives of the activities of international financial institutions and uses the theory of economics and finance as well as complementary disciplines to diagnose and solve problems related to the activities and management of international financial institutions (K_W02)
- knows and understands the basic tools for financing the activities of international development banks in the countries of operation
- knows and understands selected global development challenges, including: the need for sustainable development, ending extreme poverty, climate and energy transformation and the role of international financial institutions in solving them (K_W05)
In terms of skills:
- is able to use knowledge of economics and finance and international financial institutions to recognize, diagnose and solve problems related to financial decisions in the organization and management of financial institutions (K_U01)
- is able to correctly interpret social, political, economic and environmental processes, phenomena and challenges and their impact on financial decisions in organizations, the functioning of the organization and the entire economy, using the appropriate selection of sources (K_U02)
- can independently and collectively prepare analyses, diagnoses and reports on financial management in organizations, including international ones, management of financial institutions and strategies of financial institutions, and present them communicatively, also in English (K_U03)
- is able to plan and organize own and team work (K_U05)

- is ready for a critical and rational approach to situations and phenomena related to financial management in organizations, including international ones (K_K01)

Assessment criteria
The assessment of a student's work during the seminar is two-stage: the licencjat thesis project and the finished licencjat thesis are assessed
Licencjat thesis project - the content of the project is assessed, in particular the presentation of the research topic and its objectives, determination of research methods, structure of the work and selection of literature
Licencjat thesis - both the substantive and formal aspects of the work, the correctness of the formulation of the objectives (theses) of the work, a review of the subject literature and empirical (practical) arguments, as well as the correctness of the selection of literature are assessed
Bibliography
In accordance with the guidelines of the Faculty of Management regarding licencjat theses, the bibliography of a licencjat thesis should contain at least 15 scientific titles, including 2 in foreign languages.
The selection of literature is a derivative of the topic of the licencjat work and largely depends on the student's creativity.
The following literature items (mainly of a textbook nature) may be helpful in preliminary studies of problems undertaken during the seminar, and may also guide further literature studies:
