Seminar plan:
1. Discussion of the principles of writing a thesis (components of the thesis, references and citations, technical requirements).
2. Determining the area of interest in the given thematic scope of the seminar.
3. Selecting a topic, defining the purpose of the work, hypotheses, research method, selecting source materials, preparing an outline
4. Writing a thesis.
5. Assessment and defense of thesis.
Thematic scope:
• Analysis of issues in the field of supply, production and distribution logistics.
• Implementation of the idea of supply chain management (Supply Chain Management - SCM).
• Inventory management in the enterprise - models and methods
• Models and quantitative tools supporting logistics management, including supply and distribution management.
• Lean Management - benefits from applications in the practice of enterprise operations
• Demand forecasting for logistics management purposes
• IT systems supporting logistics in the enterprise
• Marketing and logistics management

Learning outcomes
In terms of knowledge:
• Knows and understands at an advanced level the terminology related to accounting in business organizations in the discipline of economics and finance and in complementary disciplines (management and quality sciences, legal sciences), in particular for financial management and accounting. (K_W01)
• Knows and understands in-depth the principles, procedures and practices relating to the financial activities of various types of organizations and uses the theory of economics and finance and complementary disciplines (management and quality sciences, legal sciences) to recognize, diagnose and solve problems related to financial management in organizations , accounting, management of financial institutions and strategies of financial institutions. (K_W02)
• Knows and understands at an advanced level economic theories and models regarding the functioning of organizations and the entire economy. (K_W03)
• Knows and understands at an advanced level legal regulations regarding the functioning of the organization and the entire economy. (K_W04)
• Knows and understands to an advanced degree technological, social, political, legal, economic and ecological processes and phenomena, as well as their impact on financial decisions in organizations, the functioning of the organization and the entire economy, including the principles of protection of industrial property and copyright. (K_W05)
In terms of skills:
• Is able to use the theory of the discipline of economics and finance and complementary disciplines (management and quality sciences, legal sciences) to recognize, diagnose and solve problems related to financial decisions in organizations and management of financial institutions, using the appropriate selection of sources and adapting existing methods. (K_U01)
• Is able to correctly interpret technological, social, political, legal, economic and ecological processes and phenomena and their impact on financial decisions in organizations, the functioning of the organization and the entire economy, using the appropriate selection of sources. (K_U02)
• Is able to independently and collectively prepare analyses, diagnoses and reports on financial management in organizations, accounting, management of financial institutions and strategies of financial institutions and present them communicatively, also in English - using IT and communication tools. (K_U03)
• Can use a foreign language at level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. (K_U04)
In terms of social competences:
• Is ready to assess and critically approach situations and phenomena related to financial management in organizations, accounting, management of financial institutions and strategists of financial institutions. (K_K01)
Assessment criteria
Continuous substantive and formal assessment of the outline and work, ending with a review with a grade in accordance with:
• Detailed rules of the diploma process at the Faculty of Management
• Author's guidelines, i.e. rules for writing master's and bachelor's theses made available to students at the beginning of the seminar
