Pre-graduation language teaching practice 2300-OPRP-WNJA/III
Within the practicum the students are obliged to participate in 45 didactic hours (45 min. each). The condition to pass is, first of all, the activity and involvement in didactic and organizational tasks, agreed with the teacher – school tutor in advance. The student is also obliged to prepare so called Teacher’s Pack, including the practicum attendance list, completed observation sheets, enriched by student’s reflections, the conspectuses of classes run by the student, altogether with single-handedly prepared aids, the opinion of the teacher –school tutor about the student (student evaluation sheet), the interview with the teacher- school tutor, which should include at least 5 student’s questions, derived from the observations and the DVD recording of the lesson run by the student. After completing the practicum the student is obliged to deliver the documentation to the practicum tutor at the University.
The estimated number of hours which the student must devote to obtain the learning effects is 60. The number of organized hours, the way of passing the subject and the independent work of the student have been taken here into consideration.

The student:
• uses the knowledge obtained in ELT Methodology classes,
• uses the techniques of teaching to young children,
• analyzes the observed teacher’s behaviours, the classroom situations;
• is able to interpret the observed situations in the context of her knowledge;
• plans independently the didactic process, both for particular lessons and for longer distances;
• evaluates critically both the teacher – school tutor and her own didactic – educational actions.
Assessment criteria
The completion of the language teaching diploma practicum depends on the following tasks’ completion:
• the attendance in the required number of lessons in the appointed school;
• the completion of the tasks given by the teacher – school tutor;
• the positive assessment of the teacher – school tutor;
• the delivery of the required documentation to the University tutor of the pracricum
