Developmental psychology 2300-OPRC

The aim of the course is to introduce rudiments of knowledge relating to psychological development and possibilities and ways of its stimulation and control. The course is structuralized according to main development domain and functions. Students get to know a topical survey of psychical development from prenatal period through infancy, adolescence up to late adulthood. Topics includes: development models and theories; tendencies, stages and regularities of the psychomotor, cognitive, language, emotional, social and moral development, personality and self-concept forming. The role of individual and environmental factors (family, school, peer group) as well as interaction of both factors are consider.
