The following issues are going to be discussed in the context of ELT in the kindergarten and early education:
1. Observation of English teacher working in the kindergarten and primary school.
2. Observation of language skills in kindergarten and early education children.
3. Planning of the ELT syllabus in the short and long perspectives.
4. Planning the lessons, regarding how to match the individual needs of the students.
5. Constructing the basic observation tools.

Knowledge
On completing the course the student:
- while observing children recognizes the techniques learnt during the Methodology courses;
- knows the rules of proper behaviour while observing the lessons;
- knows the most effective techniques of teaching children in the kindergarten and early education;
Skills
On completing the course the student:
- uses the learnt techniques while working with children in the English lessons;
- plans and describes lessons in details;
- describes the given lesson in the form of a reflective note;
- adapts the teaching materials, used in the classroom in which the teaching practice takes place, adjusting them to the students' needs;
- creates new teaching aids to the planned lessons;
- observes the lessons and draws conclusions concerning work with children;
Attitudes
On completing the course the student:
- makes the lesson plans on her/his own;
- is ready to give advice to her/his colleagues;
- is able to reflect both on the given and observed lessons;
- appreciates the significance of autoreflection and feedback in the teaching job.
Assessment criteria
To pass the course the students are obliged to deliver the required set of materials, included in the description of the student practices for the current academic year.
