Developmental psychology 2300-N2-PRCZ
The aim of the course is to introduce rudiments of knowledge relating to psychological development and possibilities and ways of its stimulation and control as well as basic knowledge of personality psychology. The course is structuralized according to main development domain and functions. Students get to know a topical survey of psychical development from prenatal period through infancy, adolescence up to late adulthood. Topics include: development models and theories; tendencies, stages and regularities of the psychomotor, cognitive, language, emotional, social and moral development. The next block includes review of personality theories and trends of personality development and self-concept forming. The role of individual and environmental factors (family, school, peer group) as well as interaction of both factors are consider.
