MTP - Social Pedagogy - lecture 2300-MTP-PS-W
Social pedagogy, dealing with the relationship man-environment-education, is to diagnose environmental conditions for both education and development processes, improving the educational intentions of the living environment as well as the organization of institutions / communities of prevention education and compensation. The main challenges today facing social pedagogy, the diagnosis, description and analysis of the situation of education in the "liquid modernity".Issues to be covered include: selected topics from the history of social pedagogy (the origin, formation and development of the discipline, artists and representatives of social pedagogy) and the main concepts (environmental education, prevention, compensation, social support), the methods of education and social work, the main educational environment : family, school, peers, local environment (structure, function, changes) seelected socio-educational problems of modern day (for example, the potential of educational and cultural environment, the environment of "risk", the relationship between democracy - education, community mobilization, social and educational function of non-governmental organizations, intercultural education.

After completing the course student / ka will be able to:
In terms of knowledge:
1. Operate basic concepts in the field of social pedagogy,
2. Identify selected environmental conditions of education and development processes (in their historical variability),
3. justify the need to research, create and transform the human life environment,
4. describe the most important socio-educational problems in the modern world,
5. explain the role and tasks of social pedagogy in the context of contemporary social changes (in the local and global dimension).
In terms of skills:
1. Reflectively address the issues presented in the lectures
In terms of attitudes:
1. Will show sensitivity to the issues of social exclusion and mechanisms leading to it and will acquire an active attitude of a pedagogue supporting the development of individuals and groups
