The Development of Communication Competence 2300-KKK/EUA
Full description:
During the classes students will be acquainted with different communication styles. The first part of the classes is devoted to learning how to communicate in an assertive way. Then the students will learn about different nonverbal messages and about the rules of their application. The participants of the course will also be instructed on some basic elements of professional etiquette.
The classes are in the form of a workshop.

-is able to paraphrase and clarify their statements
-knows and is able to tell the difference between different communication styles
- knows how and when to use different listening strategies
- is able to communicate with other people in an assertive way (applying appropriate procedures and techniques)
- is able to lead a discussion in an assertive way
- knows and is able to apply rules of the professional etiquette
- is able to appreciate the necessity of continual development of one’s communicative skills
