Innovative teaching methods 2300-IMSz-EU

During the classes students learn about selected training methods used in formal, non-formal and informal education of adults such as, competency training, mentoring and coaching. The participants learn about the theoretical concepts lying at the basis of the creation of teaching methods. Students are going to analyze the newly-learnt methods from the perspective of the processes of knowledge management. A crucial element of the classes will be the issues connected with contextual and interactive factors determining the choice of training techniques.

Aim of the classes: acquainting students with teaching methods used in formal, non-formal and informal education of adults as well as developing the ability of critical thinking regarding knowledge management.

Learning outcomes

After the classes students will be able to:
- characterize the newly learnt methods such as competency training, mentoring and coaching.
- indicate individual and organizational perspectives of the application of training methods
- correctly select the appropriate training methods (in accordance with the teaching context)
- design an own teaching method
