Media In XXth Century 2101-L-W3MEDI-PRMM
The subject covers all Polish periodical press since its inception in the mid-sixteenth century to the nineties of the twentieth century, classes are designed to allow students to learn the process of the Polish press formation and development and the formation of the journalistic profession and its role in Polish national, social and cultural life. Lectures and student's own studies are oriented primarily to systematize, interpret and comment on the extensive literature on the subject.

KNOWLEDGE
The student should know about the main stages of the Polish press as well as other media and their role in shaping the national culture. Students should be aware of the correlation between the internal political situation and the condition, role and importance of the national media. Students should know the process of developing the profession of a journalist in Poland and the achievements of its most distinguished representatives.
SKILLS
Students should distinguish between types of Polish press its political and ideological colors that indicated the media features in different historical periods
