Digital Photography Workshop (part 1) 2101-L-W1PRFC-FPRW
Within course students perform a series of exercises in a computer lab with the digital file previously prepared by each student.
Exercises are the basis for practical work needed to master digital imaging workshop. Photoshop is the main computer program used in the classroom.
Activities include a basic set of exercises necessary to master the technique of digital image files and processing images in Photoshop. During the exercise the analysis of images is carried out and there are shown examples of skillful use of ambient light and image creativity. During the tasks there are carried out individual adjustments, as well as discussions on current technical problems.
Student workload:
Practical classes 30 hrs/ semester
Individually prepared photographic tasks 10 hrs.

After completing the course (exercises) the student:
KNOWLEDGE
1. knows the most important issues concerning the construction of a digital image.
2. knows the basic methods of working with the graphic file.
3. is familiar with the use of Photoshop for processing image files and photographs in the primary
SKILLS
1. student knows how to prepare the image to use it for commercial purposes, exhibitions, etc.
2. knows how to take care of appropriate image resolution and apply it according to the needs
3. knows how to retouch digital files
4. has the ability to use text editor
5. program is able to use Camera Raw
OTHER COMPETENCES
1. understands what is the working in the modern lab
2. understands the importance of digital photography and ways of its application in the modern world of media
Assessment criteria
During the final evaluation following factors are considered: the execution of all exercises given during the semester by the teacher, timely & devotional works, the aesthetics of administration.
