Rudiments of photography 2101-L-W1POFO-FPRW
The aim of the seminar is to provide knowledge on key issues of photo-techniques: optical image formation, types, structure and functions of cameras, photographic optics (lens types and their use), exposure measurement, construction and use of shooting accessories. Discussed are also the basis of lighting (especially in studio photography), and issues related to the photographic techniques as well as photographic materials and processes. Teaching material refers both to the classic analogue photography and digital photography. Classes theoretically prepares students for using the knowledge in the practice of photography.
Each lecture is richly illustrated with information and photographic materials presented in multimedia form.
Student workload:
Seminar = 30 hours
Individual preparation for classes
½ hours/ week = 7.5 hours.
Preparing to pass (a grade) = 20 h
Total = approx 58 hours

- final written exam – test consisting of 50 closed i 5 open questions,
- two mid-term written tests (in winter and summer semester),
