Journalistic genres 2101-L-D1GADZ
The aim of the lecture is to present the genealogy of both forms of journalistic expression and their evolution over the centuries, as well as compositional, formal and content determinants for each genre and variety. On the basis of examples students become familiar with the functions of typical forms of information and publications in press and electronic media. Additionally there are discussed chosen forms of journalism, such as report or essay.

KNOWLEDGE
The student will receive knowledge of the crystallization and evolution of journalistic information and publications genres in newspapers, radio, television and the Internet. Will explore the functions and their role in systems of newspapers, magazines, radio and TV programs. Student will learn about the correlation between media genres and other journalistic forms of creative expression.
SKILLS
Student after completing the course should properly call and analyze the media statements contained in the websites in systems of newspapers and magazines and radio and TV.
OTHER COMPETENCES
Knowledge of the genres that occur in modern media is essential to improve technical skills of journalism students.
