Learning outcomes
-Participants should have basic knowledge of characteristics of the region such as key events and dates. Gulf Countries. Islamic Revolution of Iran in 1979. Arab Uprisings in 2011.
- The participants will be able characterize and analyze geopolitical importance of the region and foreign policies of regional and global powers toward the region.
- Participants can independently select appropriate compact studies and source materials to supplement and deepen their knowledge, which is an important skill in the context of lifelong learning.
Assessment criteria
Attendance 40% (two absence permitted), active participation in classes in general 20%, presentation at the class 10%, writing essay 2-4 pages 30%.

From 75% good
From 80% good +
From 90% very good
