Basics of spatial planning 1900-3-PPP-GSE
Classes are held in the form of lectures and recitations of 30 and 15 hours, respectively. The subject of the lectures concerns spatial planning as an activity whose aim is to translate development programs into the organization of space in the sense of location of functions and appropriate spatial development. Planning issues in the lectures are discussed on a national, regional and local scale. The lectures also cover planning issues in the countries of the European Union. Recitations cover spatial planning issues on a local (municipality) scale, referring to the institutional organization of development management in Poland and the distribution of planning competences among various levels. During the recitations, students work in groups, preparing spatial development concepts for a selected area. The topics of the lectures are as follows:
