The topic presented is divided into several parts;
Geographical studies of globalisation processes. 2.
Globalisation vs. glocalisation.
Man in a globalised world: global and local social processes (migration, labour market). 4.
Big cities - centres of global processes (processes, phenomena, challenges). 5.
Problems of rural areas and world agriculture - social and political consequences. 6.
Spatial forms of new production and service sectors. 7.
Development and poverty - causes, effects, theoretical concepts of poverty research. 8.
8. colonialism in the concepts of development.
Neocolonialism and postcolonialism.
Consumption in geographical research. 11.
Culture and development.
Students should allocate 20 hours to achieve the learning outcomes.

- Graduate is able to explain causes and effects of global processes and relations between selected phenomena on local and global level.

- Graduate understands reasons of poverty and underdevelopment and knows theoretical concepts which are used to research on those phenomena.
