Academic writing and publishing 1600-SZD-ID-PPA
The work of a researcher concerns, to a high degree, the conducting of research. However, in order to make a contribution to knowledge, we need to communicate and disseminate the results of our research. In this regard, reading and writing academic texts is very important. We need to read in order to identify a relevant gap and to define the research problem. We need to write, in order to take part in the academic conversation in an appropriate way and according to recognised principles. At the same time, the scientific community is becoming increasingly aware of the importance of elegant, linguistically correct forms of expression. This course presents some principles and ideas of academic writing in the context of international scientific journals and publishers.
